History
The company was formed in 1969 by Ing. Alfred Wurmb as the individually-owned firm "Elektronik Werkstätte Ing. Wurmb" and converted into a private limited company (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung) in 1977. Since 1979, the company has been run by Ing. Herbert Wurmb in his capacity of managing partner.
As of 1 October 2009 the business activities of "Elektronik Werkstätte Ing. Wurmb Ges.m.b.H." are undertaken and continued by "Wurmb GmbH.".
The company is wholly owned by the Wurmb family.
The managaing directors are Ing. Herbert Wurmb and Dipl. Ing. Norbert Machherndl.

1985 First CNC systems purchased
1986 First fully automated miniature circuit breaker testing system delivered
"PULS" host computer introduced
1988 Addition to company plant - 25 staff
1990 CAD system introduced
1993 First systems delivered to China
1996 First systems delivered to Brazil and Korea
1997 Addition to company plant, Operation flow completely revamped
2002 Launch of the new developed bimetal snap action disc machine "CLICKQUICK 30"
2003 Introduction of ISO 9001:2000 QM-System
2007 Largest fully automatic assembly and testing system for
small motor-protective switches successfully installed
2009 Business continued by "Wurmb GmbH."
