other Voltages on request
  • required voltage stability: better than +/-5%
  • Backup fuse: 63A, type C

Scope of Delivery:Completely functionable including:
All necessary safety measures,
Controller software,
Controller IPC with screen and keyboard
Contacting elementsTwo robust connection heads ensure simple, fast and reliable connection of the cores and the braided shield. The correct connection and continuity of each wire are checked automatically.
Specification specimen
  • Cable on drum or cable on rings.
  • Cables with up to 4 wires plus shield can be contacted and tested.
  • Permissible cable capacity:
- At 1000 V 6.4 uF
- At 5000 V 1.3 uF
When the cable has a higher capacity the test must involve partial lengths only.
Test chamber easily accessibleAutomatic high-speed-rolling-doors on three sides of the test room enable loading and unloading of the specimen at floor level without any step.
Handling can be done from 3 sides with a forklift or trolley.
ContactingTwo robust and heavy-duty connection heads grant easy, quick and reliable connection of wires and shield.
Correct connection and continuity of each wire is checked automatically.
Test options
  • Connection test (low voltage 24VDC)
  • Fault detection test (if a fault was detected already with the low voltage test)
  • DC test (including a Burn-In-function of a possible fault and following a fault detection)
  • AC test - selectable
  • Combined DC and AC test
Accuracy of the fault detection: <1,5% of the tested cable length
Test parametersDC test: 800 V to 8,000 volts max. 30 m
AC test: 500 volts to 5,000 volts 50Hz or 60Hz, designed for capacitive loads and a maximum of 2 amps.

Up to 6 "test steps" can be defined for each test. DC voltage and duration, AC voltage and duration can be selected for each test step, as well as which cores can be connected to high voltage.
For each cable type, the test sequence, test voltages and test times can be saved separately for each core as type-specific parameters (recipes). parameters (recipes) and called up for repeat tests.

The tripping current takes into account the capacitive current of the specimen. The test voltage, test time, connection configuration and test sequence can be defined and saved for each core.
Communication and data exchangeData exchange is implemented via CSV files, using an FTP-Server
  • Option: Communication via MySQL database
  • Option: Customer specific communication (has to be defined and implemented)
scope of deliveryFully functional included:
  • All necessary safety measures,
  • Controller software,
  • IPC controller with screen and keyboard
Result dataTestparameters and results are stored automatically.
