Pneumatically driven infeed slides
  • Vertical slide (moves to the front of the combi separator)
  • Contacting strip with 12 spring pins for contacting the lugs for the continuity tests
  • Horizontal slide (moves to the underside of the combi separator)
• Contacting strip with 14 (18) spring pins for contacting the terminals (contacting on the exposed tabs of the terminal plates) for continuity testing
  • Rotary drive for actuating the switch with stepper motor drive and torque load cell (burster, max. 2.5Nm)
Functions, tests
  • Continuity tests with 24V DC, in the two switch positions
  • Continuity tests for the internal bridges, programmed according to type
  • Torque measurement and switch function check
Handling, test procedure
  • PT slide is in the right position - Operator inserts the test specimen
  • Operator pushes the PT slide to the left position as far as it will go. This activates the safety switch and the carriage is automatically locked.
• The vertical carriage is lowered and the combination torch is clamped in the lower position.
  • DMC reader reads type and serial number.
  • Horizontal slide is closed and the rotary actuator is inserted into the switch.
  • Continuity test.
  • Rotary actuator turns clockwise, switches the switch on and measures the maximum Md.
• Continuity check in switched position.
  • Rotary actuator turns back to the default position.
  • Rotary actuator turns counterclockwise with Md monitoring
  • Checking the lock function
• 5 x switch on/off and continuity check.
  • If the test specimen is OK, it is marked on the left-hand side with the marking stamp.
  • The horizontal slide opens - The vertical slide opens and releases the PT slide. Green signal lamp lights up.
  • The test specimen can be removed.

The test is aborted if the DMC shows an incorrect type or the rotary drive cannot couple or in the event of any other malfunction. If the test specimen is not correct, it is not stamped. In both cases, the PT carriage remains locked until the clear text message has been acknowledged.

ConvertibilityThe scope of delivery includes 1 set of contacting strips with test pins for both the large and the small version of the combi separator. Conversion:
• Open the protective cover
• Loosen 2 knurled screws,
• Unplug and replace the contact strip
Conversion time: approx. 15 - 20 minutes
ExpandabilityThe device is designed for the expansion of the screw inspection with 4 cameras. However, no components for the extension are included in the scope of delivery.
